Welcome to the Pacific Leadership Program
The Pacific Leadership Program is a regional initiative of the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) based in Suva, Fiji. Recognising the pivotal role leadership plays at all levels in a nation's path to development, the Program aims to strengthen existing and emerging leaders and leadership practice in Pacific Island countries.
The Pacific Leadership Program supports influential Pacific leaders to shape and lead the developmental change they want to see in their region. The Program does not come pre-prepared with solutions, instead, it works by identifying and supporting individuals, organisations and networks in the Pacific to enhance local leadership.
The Pacific Leadership Program works across a variety of sectors, including public, private, civil society and with traditional leaders. It builds constructive relationships with Pacific leaders and supports them to identify and act on initiatives that contribute to community, national and regional development. In doing this the Pacific Leadership Program aims to be responsive, opportunistic and catalytic in its approach to development.
